Migrating to Australia

Migration from Western European countries to Australia is essentially a life-style driven decision. Former clients of Australian Consultancy Ltd have identified many reasons for migrating to Australia. These include:

Let's go down under
  • New career and business opportunities
  • Living costs and lifestyle
  • Excellent health and education resources
  • Safe and clean living environment
  • Improved climate
  • Wide open spaces and beautiful beaches
  • Family re-union
Overseas businesses have a different agenda, but corporate clients have sited the following reasons for establishing a subsidiary business operation in Australia:
  • Highly skilled, multilingual workforce
  • Well-developed modern industry
  • Competitive business costs
  • Strategic location on the Asia Pacific rim
  • Advanced research and development base
  • World class telecommunications services
To migrate to Australia, you are required to satisfy a complicated and ever-changing set of rules and regulations. The Migration Act and the Migration Regulations change almost as frequently as the Australian Tax Act. It is becoming increasingly difficult for lay persons to understand migration criteria and how these criteria are applied by the Australian Immigration authorities.

One of the most difficult aspects of migrating to Australia is to decide which visa application is most appropriate to your needs and/or circumstances. The current Migration Regulations make provision for some 15 classes of offshore/onshore classes of migration and some 30 classes of temporary residency visas.

Australian Consultancy offers comprehensive immigration assistance to clients seeking permanent or temporary entry to Australia. Registered Migration Agents at Australian Consultancy can assist business and private clients to assess their visa options and prepare and lodge the most appropriate visa application with the Australian Immigration authorities.

The Pre-Assessment Service

Because of the complexity of Australia's Migration laws and regulations, Australian Consultancy Ltd recommends that all potential migrants to Australia register for our Pre Assessment Service.

Our Pre Assessment Service will assist you to identify your visa options and likelihood of success before investing your time, energy and money into preparing and lodging your visa application with the Australian Immigration authorities.

For a fee, a registered migration agent will consider your circumstances and provide their professional opinion of whether you meet current visa criteria.

Please download the Pre-Assessment Questionnaire and send to either our Swiss or Australian Office.

Pre Assessment interview

Australian Consultancy registered migration agents travel frequently between Switzerland and Australia. The pre-assessment interview will occur either by telephone or in person at our Swiss or Australian offices.

At the pre-assessment interview, the visa criteria will be explained to you by a registered migration agent. Your agent will consider your particular circumstances (professional qualifications and experience, age, English proficiency, Australian partner or relatives, Australian employers, business and/or investment experience, distinguished talents) and advise whether you meet current visa criteria.

If your prospects of success are limited, you will be advised not to proceed with an application.

Written offer to prepare your visa application

If a realistic visa option is identified, Australian Consultancy will make an offer in writing to prepare your visa application for submission to the Australian Immigration authorities. This offer will stipulate the consultancy fee payable to Australian Consultancy and identify additional costs and disbursements, including Departmental fees and charges.

Preparation of your visa application

Australian Consultancy Ltd will prepare your visa application for submission to the relevant Australian skills assessment authority (if applicable) and the Australian Immigration authorities.

Registered migration agents at Australian Consultancy are familiar with all Australian Immigration processing requirements. Visa applications prepared by Australian Consultancy are complete and fully supported by the required documentary evidence, which is vital to ensure smooth processing of your application in the minimum time possible.

English translations of your supporting documents can be arranged (at your cost) by NAATI (National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters) accredited translators in Australia. Generally, costs of English translations in Australia are lower than in Europe.

Recent changes to Australia's Migration Regulations require all Skilled Migration applications to be lodged at the Adelaide Skilled Processing Centre, Adelaide, South Australia. It is for this reason, that Australian Consultancy has established an office in Australia. Having an office in Australia will greatly facilitate communications with the Adelaide Skilled Processing Centre.
